Our labs have been on Urban Wolf for the past 3 years and I can say unequivocally that in the past 30 years none of our labs have done so well: no food upsets, firm stools, thick, rich coats and plenty of vim. Why do we want you to cook the egg in the Urban Wolf recipe?
For those of you that make extra food to keep in the refrigerator for a few days, we have found that raw egg can spoil faster than cooked egg. If you are planning to store the premade Urban Wolf dog food in the fridge for a few days we recommend you precook the egg.

Recipe Update: Due to customer feedback we modified our recipe slightly from recommending regular ground meat to using lean ground meat (many of our customers could not find regular ground meat). As as a result, the new recipe has you adding more oil, it's simply replacing the fat that was in the regular ground meat.
Please follow the recipe on the package, do not reduce the oil in the recipe, please follow instructions and email us if you have any questions. We also have you adding more water.
Please follow the directions on the individual package you have and your food will be perfect.
